Questionnaire on Neutron Imaging Facilities
Dear members of the ISNR, dear colleagues and experts in neutron imaging research
Based on the discussion and interaction during the last World Conference on Neutron Radiography in South Africa, a request was raised to get an actual overview about running neutron imaging facilities worldwide and its performance, respectively.
Despite some previous activities in this direction, the present picture is relatively weak and not consistent and needs an update urgently. On the other hand, there have been a lot of new activities to upgrade facilities, to improve their performance and the user service and to build up new installations.
The communication about the status of the neutron imaging facilities has several aspects:
• to describe the state of the art,
• to identify places for a best possible user service and
• to establish a better networking inside the ISNR community.
It is still a bright vision to establish certified routines and to standardize neutron imaging methods based on state-of-the-art imaging systems. The current approach for a consistent data base might be the first step towards this goal.

After completion of the first round, we and the IAEA in Vienna will start to compile the data base with the help of the available data from the Questionnaires.
